
Shorebirds Start Homestand on Tuesday

SALISBURY, Md. -- The Delmarva Shorebirds return to Arthur W. Perdue Stadium for a seven-game homestand that will begin on Tuesday, July 14.
The first three games will feature a visit from the Lexington Legends (Kansas City Royals affiliate) before the homestand concludes with a four-game series with the Greensboro Grasshoppers (Miami Marlins affiliate).
The Shorebirds have a number of special promotions planned including a pair of fireworks shows, a Christmas in July celebration and the annual Kids Club Day.
Tuesday, July 14 vs. Lexington Legends, 7:05 p.m.
Every Tuesday during the 2015 season is a Two For Tuesday presented by McDonald's of the Eastern Shore. Fans who bring a receipt for an extra value meal, happy meal or full-sized salad to the Perdue Stadium box office can receive a buy one, get one free offer on general admission tickets.
Fans who attend the game can also participate in a Tweet Your Seat contest for a chance to win a prize pack
courtesy of the McDonald's of the Eastern Shore.
Finally, McDonald's is celebrating National French Fry Day by presenting the first 2,000 fans through the gates with a coupon for a buy one, get one free offer on french fries at participating McDonald's of the Eastern Shore.
Wednesday, July 15 vs. Lexington Legends, 7:05 p.m.
Wednesday's game will mark another Silver Sluggers Night presented by Coastal Home Care. This affordable ticket plan for seniors features tickets to all Wednesday home games.
All fans in attendance will also have the chance to play Baseball Bingo for their chance to win a prize from the Shorebirds.
Thursday, July 16 vs. Lexington Legends, 7:05 p.m.
The Shorebirds and Legends will wrap up their three-game set on a Kiss 95.9 Thirsty Thursday presented by University Village of Salisbury. Drink specials include 16-ounce cans of Miller Lite and Coors Light, as well as 16-ounce Pepsi products, for just $2.
Friday, July 17 vs. Greensboro Grasshoppers, 7:05 p.m.
An exciting weekend of Shorebirds baseball will kick off on Friday with a special postgame fireworks show following the series opener between Delmarva and the Greensboro Grashoppers.
As they have all season, the Shorebirds will wear special throwback jerseys on Friday modeled after the ones worn in 1996 as a part of the team's season-long 20th anniversary celebration.
Fans will also have the chance to start the weekend with an incredible deal on Froggy 99.9 Big Beer Friday, where 32-ouce Coors Light and Miller Lite drafts will be priced at $6 all game long.
Saturday, July 18 vs. Greensboro Grasshoppers, 7:05 p.m.
Join the Shorebirds in spreading some holiday cheer in the middle of summer during the team's Christmas in July celebration. The night will feature Christmas music, in-game contests, and the Shorebirds will be wearing special Santa jerseys that will be auctioned off during the game to benefit the Shorebirds Community Fund.
Fans will also be able to support the Shorebirds Community Fund by purchasing grab bags on the main concourse. Prizes will include Shorebirds card sets, giveaway items, ticket vouchers and a grand prize of a sky suite to a 2016 Shorebirds home game.
Stick around after the game, as the night will conclude with a Q105 Fireworks Show presented by Wor-Wic Community College.
Sunday, July 19 vs. Greensboro Grasshoppers, 5:05 p.m.
Sunday's game will be a celebration of our young fans, as the Shorebirds will be holding Junior 'Birds Kids Club Day presented by McDonald's of the Eastern Shore. A number of special events for youngsters are planned. 15 lucky children in attendance will be taking home bikes as a part of the Seaford Moose Lodge's annual bike giveaway.
The Shorebirds will also continue the fight against hunger on the Peninsula by holding another Strike Out Hunger Sunday. Fans who bring two canned food items for donation to the Perdue Stadium box office will receive a $3 general admission ticket.
Finally, members of the Junior 'Birds Kids Club will have the opportunity to run the bases following the game thanks to Chili's Grill and Bar.
Monday, July 20 vs. Greensboro Grasshoppers, 7:05 p.m.
The homestand will conclude on a 47 ABC Two Buck Monday. Fans will be able to enjoy special $2 pricing on general admission tickets, Esskay hot dogs and 12-ounce Pepsi products. No coupon is required to take advantage of these deals.
