Shorebirds Present Donation to Richard A. Henson Cancer Institute

SALISBURY, Md. - The Delmarva Shorebirds are proud to announce the results from the 2018 PRMC Pink Pitch Night to benefit the Richard A. Henson Cancer Institute, as the team presented a check for $2,574.73.

"The Shorebirds are always happy to help a very important part of the community such as the Richard A. Henson Cancer Institute," Shorebirds general manager Chris Bitters said. "Thank you to our fans who showed their generous support with donations."

The 2018 PRMC Pink Pitch Night was held on Saturday, May 19th at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium when the Delmarva Shorebirds faced the Hagerstown Suns. Shorebirds players and coaches wore specialty pink jerseys that were auctioned off during the game, with the funds raised being presented to the Richard A. Henson Cancer Institute at the Peninsula Breast Center.

Delmarva has more special jersey nights scheduled in 2018, including a Christmas in July jersey auction on Sunday, July 22nd and an Orange Friday jersey auction on August 17th. Both auctions will benefit the Shorebirds' Fly Together Fund.
