Salisbury, MD: The Delmarva Shorebirds seem to have the Hagerstown Suns number this year. Friday only added to that as the Shorebirds smacked the Suns 12-3 in game one of a three game series. A 15 hit atttack was paced by 1B Mark Fliesher who went 4-4 with a walk. The Suns (23-38) had nine hits of their own, including homers by Jonathan Sanchez and Tony Piazza.
Saturday at 7:05pm will be game two of three and will pit RHP Chorye Spoone (5-1) and his league leading 1.80 ERA up against the Suns Bobby Parnell (0-4). After the current five game road trip ends after Tuesday's game in West Virginia, the Suns come back home for a five game homestand to end the first half against West Virginia and these Shorebirds.
