Moncton, NB - A sold out Coliseum, eight fans shooting for a prize package of over $450,000 and the Rivalry Cup presented to Moncton. That's the back drop for next Tuesday night's game between the Wildcats and the Sea Dogs.

The final list of prize reads like this:

$25,000 worth of quality furniture from Lounsbury Furniture

A Kia from Moncton Kia

A Hyundai from Rallye Motors

A new ATV from Toys for Big Boys

A Ford from Taylor Ford

A General Motors vehicle from Lounsbury Chevorlet

A Chrysler product from Moncton Chrysler Superstore

And a quarter of a million dollars in cold hard cash.

"As far as we know, it is the largest prize package ever offered at a sports event in Moncton, if not in Atlantic Canada," said Bill Schurman Wildcats general manager. "It is a way of showing our appreciation to the fans, who helped beat Saint John for the title of the city with the best hockey fans in New Brunswick. It also shows the great support of the corporate community and the pride they have in Moncton and the Wildcats," he said.

To have a chance to be part of the shoot out, fans must be 19 years of age and need to buy a 50/50 ticket from the Humphrey-Lewisville-Sunny Brae Lions Club members who will be working throughout the Coliseum. A portion of the proceeds of the 50/50 sales will to support the Moncton Food Bank.

A random draw of eight tickets will be made by four members of Canada's Armed Forces, who will also supervise the final shoot out. The winning numbers will be shown on the score clock, prior to the second intermission. The exciting shoot out will take place during the second intermission.

Each of the eight winning tickets will receive a $100 gift certificate from the Roar Store in the Coliseum.

Viewers from around the world, who tune in to the Telus webcast will be able to see all of the exciting activity.

The Rivalry Cup concept started when Saint John challenged Moncton to see who has the most dedicated hockey fans in New Brunswick. Saint John attracted 5,585 fans to the game on February 8th at Harbour Station. With the Coliseum sold out at 6465 fans since Wednesday afternoon, Moncton has already been declared the winner of the Cup.
