Kingston Frontenacs News Release

In honour of our 40th season of junior hockey in Kingston, Frontenacs are excited to announce a special promotion where a one lucky fan could walk away a millionaire with the "$1 million Golden Goal", powered by Dominion Lending Centres and Royal LePage ProAlliance.

Throughout the season at the first 32 home games, Kingston Frontenac fans who enter ballots correctly guessing the time the first goal scored in the third period will qualify for a special event at Fanatics on March 5, 2013. At that event, one qualifier will be selected to shoot for $1 million at the final Friday home game of the season, on Friday, March 15. During second period intermission of that game, the lucky contestant will shoot for $1 million dollars.

"You can only celebrate a 40th anniversary once, so why not do it with a bang, and in this case a seven-figure bang," said Jeff Stilwell, Director of Marketing and Communication. "A million dollars is a lot of cash, and we're hoping someone walks away with it."

"We thought the idea of one puck, one shot, one goal for $1 million was an opportunity to have fun with our fans and engage them in a truly once-in-a-lifetime possibility," said Justin Chenier, Executive Director of Business Operations. "Even better, could you imagine if you where there when someone won -, he added.

All information including official rules for the promotion can be found on the Kingston Frontenacs website www.kingstonfrontenacs.com, or while attending the game, at the Fans Relation Centre on the concourse.
