Detroit Shock News Release

Auburn Hills, MI -Detroit Shock Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel Bill Laimbeer announced today that the team has activated two-time WNBA All-Star Swin Cash from the Injured List. The 6-1 forward has been inactive for the first 12 games of Detroit's season as she continued to rehabilitate her left ACL, which she injured in a Sept. 11, 2004 game vs. the Phoenix Mercury. Guard Stacey Thomas was placed on the Injured List with a right hip flexor strain.

"Although Swin has been there for us all season as a leader offering encouragement during practices and games, it will be great to see her back out on the court where she belongs," said Laimbeer. "She's one of the most complete players in the league, can influence the outcome of a game on both ends of the floor, and I know our fans are as anxious as we are to hear Swin's name announced in the starting lineup."

Last season, Cash led Detroit in scoring at 16.4 points per game, while averaging 6.4 rebounds, 4.2 assist and 1.38 steals. She also connected on a career high 46.9 percent of her field goal attempts and 34.8 percent of her three-pointers on the year.

Experience the Detroit Shock, "It's Personal," presented by Lennox on Tuesday, July 5 as Detroit hosts the Houston Comets at 7:30 p.m. Shock tickets are available by calling 248.377.0100 or by logging on to www.detroitshock.com.
