Sherrod Wright Returns to Westchester

WHITE PLAINS, February 17, 2015 - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, announced today that they have acquired guard Sherrod Wright and forward Trey Gilder.
Wright, 6-4, 200 pounds, was originally selected by Westchester in the 6th Round (100th Overall) in the 2014 NBA D-League Draft. Wright appeared in one preseason game for the Westchester Knicks, scoring two points, before being released by the team on Nov. 1, 2014. A native of Mount Vernon, he attended George Mason University where he averaged 12.1 points and 3.4 rebounds over 26.8 minutes.
Gilder, 6-9, 190 pounds, was acquired in a trade with the Austin Spurs in exchange for the Returning Player Rights of Richard Howell. A graduate of Northwestern State University, Gilder has appeared in 131 D-League games, averaging 15.1 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists.
Westchester also announced the release of forwards Markeith Cummings and Ron Anderson Jr.
