Sherdrick Bonner Named Offensive Player of the Week for Second Week in a Row

Phoenix, AZ- Rattlers quarterback Sherdrick Bonner has been named the Arena Football League's Offensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week, following his 358 yard, nine touchdown performance in the Rattlers 82-81 overtime victory over the Grand Rapids Rampage, Saturday night at Van Andel Arena.

This is the third time this season Bonner has won the Offensive Player of the Week award. He won last week after his career day versus the Los Angeles Avengers, and in week four following Arizona's defeat of Indiana. Overall, the Rattlers have won six weekly awards. WR/DB Randy Gatewood has been named ADT Defensive Player of the Week and Ironman of the Week, while WR/LB Hunkie Cooper won Ironman of the Week as well.

The Rattlers return home this weekend to battle the Carolina Cobras, Saturday night at 7:00 at America West Arena. May 4th is Sherdrick Bonner Bobblehead Day at America West Arena, when the Rattlers take on division rival Los Angeles in the final regular season home game.
