ORLANDO, Fla. (April 22) -- For a second time in two weeks, Orlando's defensive specialist Kenny "The Glove" McEntyre has been named the Arena Football League's "ADT Defensive Player of the Week."

McEntyre played a key role in Orlando's 56-31 pasting of Las Vegas last week. In addition a pair of interceptions, McEntyre recovered a Gladiators' fumble on the goal line and returned it 41 yards as the first half ended. Because McEntyre was the victim of a face mask penalty and a late hit on the play, Orlando was given one un-timed down after the play. Jay Gruden hit Lamont Moore on 2-yard touchdown pass on the play to give Orlando a 28-14 lead at the half.

"Without Kenny McEntyre, the score could have been tied at halftime, rather than us having a two-touchdown lead. It certainly was the key play of the game," Head Coach Fran Papasedero said.

The award marked the second consecutive week McEntyre has been honored. Against Buffalo on April 11, McEntyre picked off three passes and returned one for a touchdown in Orlando's 66-23 win. He now has eight interceptions for the season (one off the league lead) and moves to within six interceptions of Durwood Roquemore's all-time AFL record of 50 interceptions.

In addition to McEntyre, the league also recognized Arizona Rattlers quarterback SHERDRICK BONNER and Colorado Crush wide receiver/defensive back CHARLIE DAVIDSON as the Offensive Player of the Week and Ironman of the Week.
