WORCESTER, MA - Coming off a 3-0 win in Springfield, the Sharks sunk the Norfolk Admirals 4-3 at the DCU Center Wednesday night. After a slow start, Worcester scored four consecutive goals and held off a late attack in a physical battle against Norfolk.

The Admirals would score on the first shot of the game from center Paul Szczechura, assisted by right wing Brandon Bochenski at 1:30. Norfolk continued firing on Worcester goaltender Talyor Dakers as Admirals center Wyatt Smith scored a power play goal over Dakers' shoulder at 6:05, allowing Bochenski to pick up his second assist of the game. The Sharks would answer back with a goal from center Tom Cavanagh, assisted by James Demers and Ryan Vesce at 14:20. Frazer McLaren continued his fighting ways and ended the period with his 9th fighting major by rocking Norfolk's Zenon Konopka in a fight at 19:52. The Admirals had a 2-1 advantage after 20 minutes.

Mike Moore would score his first professional goal in the opening minute of the second frame to tie the game at 2-2. The goal was assisted by Demers and Steven Zalewski at 0:30, giving Demers his second assist of the evening. After Steve Downie ran Kyle McLaren from behind in front of the Worcester bench, the fists went flying as Demers and Steve Downie exchanged blows at 7:22. Downie would receive two major penalties and the Sharks would have a five minute power play but could not score. The game was tied 2-2 after forty minutes of play.

As a Sharks power play expired, Cory Larose scored at 4:10 to put Worcester on top 3-2 early in the third period. The goal was assisted by Demers and Armstrong, marking Demers' third assist of the night. Dakers had a terrific lunging save to keep the lead for Worcester midway through the period before Worcester's Brendan Buckley fired a shot from the blue line that was tipped in by Andrew Desjardins at 9:55, putting the Sharks up by two. Admirals' defenseman Jamie Heward scored late in the third period but it was not enough as the Sharks defeated the Admirals 4-3.
