
Sharks Make the Most of 5 Hits in 4-3 Victory over the Titans

Both the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (5-2) and the Torrington Titans (3-3) put runners aboard on Wednesday, but it was the Marthas Vineyard Sharks that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 4-3 win at Fuessenich Park.
The Torrington Titans were led by Cody Doyle's hitting. Doyle went 3-4 and scored one run. He singled in the third, fifth, and seventh innings.
Dylan Dennis recorded his first win of the year for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. He allowed two runs over five innings. Dennis struck out five, walked one and gave up four hits.
Frank Valentino (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked four, struck out seven, and allowed four runs.
