JACKSONVILLE- Two more Sharks earn All-NAL Honors, yesterday five Sharks made the 2018 All-NAL Defensive team, three of them (Price, Ross, and Mouhon) earned First Team All-NAL. Today offensive lineman Derrick Ziegler made the First Team All-NAL Offense and fullback Derrick Ross made the list as the league's Second Team All-NAL fullback. The Sharks finished the 2018 season with seven total players earning All-NAL Honors, four First Team and three Second Team. The National Arena League has concluded it's 2018 All-NAL honors but will announce more league awards on Sunday, August 27th at the NAL Award Banquet in which several major league awards including MVP, Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and Coach of the Year will be announced. The NAL Award Banquet is set to kickoff at 7pm on Sunday and a live stream of the event will be posted on the Sharks Facebook page.

First Team All-NAL

Derrick Zeigler, Center: Derrick Zeigler entered the 2018 season as a rookie in arena football and made a major impact for the Sharks. Zeigler took over the duties of snapping the ball to the quarterback and helped protect the quarterback by allowing 21 sacks as a team this entire season. Zeigler also helped the Sharks offense throw for a total of 3,413 yards, rush for 596 yards, acquire 275 first downs, and helped us to 93 total touchdowns on offense.

Second Team All-NAL

Derrick Ross, Fullback: Ross proves himself worthy again, leading the NAL in rushing yards for the second consecutive season. It came down to the final week, but The Boss did it and kept the streak alive for the most rushing yards. This season, he rushed 111 times for 311 yards and 19 touchdowns. To add to his resumé, Ross earned Offensive Player of the Week in Week Six of the regular season.
