Sharks invites Silvertips defenseman Graham Potuer to tryout

SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has signed Everett Silvertips defenseman Graham Potuer to an NHL Amateur Tryout Agreement.

Potuer is scheduled to participate with Sharks rookie players in the "Pacific Division Shootout" against the top prospects from the Los Angeles Kings, Anaheim Ducks and Phoenix Coyotes. The tournament, hosted this year by Los Angeles, is scheduled for Sept. 8-12 in El Segundo, Calif.

"We've spent a lot of time watching Graham and are excited to have him join us for the Pacific Division Shootout," said Wilson. "His progress and success are a testament to the excellent program run by Head Coach Kevin Constantine and the entire Everett Silvertips organization."

Potuer spent last season with the Everett Silvertips contributing six points (one goal, five assists) in 63 games.

In the 2006 WHL playoffs, Potuer added an assist in 13 games.

He was drafted by the Everett Silvertips in the 9th round (161st Overall) in the 2003 WHL Bantam Draft.
