Calgary Hitmen set to open 2006 training camp

Calgary, AB - Calgary Hitmen General Manager and Head Coach Kelly Kisio announced today the Hitmen will open their 2006 Training Camp on August 24th with the rookie portion of a five day program.
The rookie camp will see about 60 players head to the Don Hartman Sportsplex (5206-68th Street NE) for fitness testing, practices and intra-squad games.
"This starts the process of building our team for the 06-07 season with the potential of six rookies making our opening day roster," said Kisio.
All on ice sessions of training camp are open to the public with rosters available at the arena. The top rookies will advance to compete with the veterans as main camp begins on August 26th.
