Jacksonville Sharks News Release

JACKSONVILLE - The ArenaBowl XXIV Champion Jacksonville Sharks announced Wednesday that wide receiver Jeron Harvey has been activated from injured reserve in advance of Saturday's Week 14 matchup against the Georgia Force.

Harvey was placed on injured reserve on April 25 after being injured late in the Sharks' 54-49 victory against the Cleveland Gladiators the weekend prior. In five games in 2012, Harvey collected 48 receptions for 450 yards and 11 touchdowns. Harvey has recorded at least 70 receiving yards in every game in which he has played, and his 12-catch performance against Tampa Bay in Week 4 stands as the highest single-game total for any Shark this season.

The 27-year-old Harvey is in his third season with Jacksonville. For his career, Harvey has collected 161 receptions for 1,856 yards and 52 touchdowns, totals that rank him second in team history in each category. One of the team's playoff heroes during 2011, Harvey scored eight touchdowns in the three games of the Sharks' championship run, including the game-winning score as time expired in the team's ArenaBowl XXIV victory.

In another Wednesday transaction, the Sharks announced that defensive back Bryan Evans has been placed on injured reserve. The Jacksonville roster currently stands at the league maximum of 24 active players.
