
Shane Costa joins Wranglers

WICHITA, Kan. ¾ Kansas City Royals outfielder Shane Costa will play his next two games as a member of the Wichita Wranglers.
Manager Frank White will start Costa in leftfield tonight and use him as the designated hitter on Thursday.
Costa is in Wichita on a medical rehabilitation assignment. On April 28th, he suffered a pull of the left hamstring while rounding first base after drilling a third-inning line drive against the Oakland A's.
Shane Costa played in 75 games for the Wranglers last season, batting .282 with 8 HR and 43 RBI before being called up to Omaha and Kansas City.
This season with the Royals, Costa hit .317 with 3 HR and 8 RBI before being injured. He had 19 hits in 19 games.
The Wranglers meet the Tulsa Drillers tonight at 7pm and Thursday at 11am as part of a five game series ending Saturday.
