Edmonton- The Edmonton Eskimos have signed free agent national receiver
Shamawd Chambers.
Chambers returns to Edmonton where he was originally selected in the first round (6th overall) of the 2012 CFL Draft.
In four seasons with Edmonton, the six-foot-three native of Markham, Ontario amassed 112 receptions for 1,234 yards and seven touchdowns in 50 games. In 2012, he was the Eskimos nominee for Most Outstanding Rookie.
Chambers spent last season with the Saskatchewan Roughriders where he recorded 25 receptions for 269 yards and one touchdown.
