Reno Silver Sox News Release
The Reno Silver Sox have made several moves over this past week to try and help improve the ailing bullpen and give the Silver Sox some pitching depth.
The first pitcher added was Adam Harendza. Harendza was playing for, the now folded, New York State League. Harendza, a native of New York, is strong right handed pitcher that should be able to provide some solid innings for the Silver Sox.
The second pitcher is Eric Brock. Brock graduated from UNLV in 2006 and played with former Silver Sox C.J. Lang and current Silver Sox Ryan Kowalski. Brock started his college career at Arizona State, before transferring to Saddleback Community College, where he also played with Silver Sox Shawn Balteff, before transferring to UNLV. Brock was also a member of the now folded New York State League.
To make room for the new pitchers several players were placed on the inactive list; first baseman Ryan Brown and catcher Joe Melton. Brown was hitting .327 with four homeruns and 15 RBIs before being placed on the inactive list. Melton, saw limited action as a catcher being third in the depth chart behind Jose Rodriguez and Mashai Chikazawa. Melton was 278 with two doubles in eight appearances.
