
Senzatela Shines in Nuts' 5-3 Victory

Modesto, CA. - Dillon Thomas cracked three hits to back Antonio Senzatela in the Modesto Nuts' 5-3 win over the Lake Elsinore Storm on Saturday night at John Thurman Field.
Senzatela (W, 6-5) tossed a season-high eight innings and allowed just three runs in his start for the Nuts (47-45; 14-8). The righty allowed a sac fly in the first but settled in from there. He allowed just one more hit from the second through the seventh inning. At one point, Senzatela retired 13 in a row.
Dillon Thomas homered to extend the Nuts' lead in the sixth. The lefty gave the Nuts their first lead in the fourth with a RBI single to score Ryan McMahon who had started that inning with a triple off the center-field wall. Thomas cracked a single in the second and scored the tying run on Wilson Soriano's sac fly.
Rafael De Paula (L, 5-8) worked 6.2 innings for the Storm (37-55; 6-16) and allowed a season-high eleven hits leading to five runs.
Sam Moll (S, 2/3) worked around a two-out walk with a pair of strikeouts in the ninth.
