SAN JOSE, Calif. - Derek Fisher tied the game with a solo home run in the fourth inning but two late San Jose Giants runs handed the JetHawks their third consecutive loss, 3-2, on Sunday evening at Municipal Stadium.

The loss came despite a solid pitching performance from starter Kevin Comer who struck out a season-high six batters without issuing a walk over five innings. He allowed one run on four hits and didn't factor into the decision.

Comer's replacement, tandem starter Austin Chrismon (3-2), tossed a perfect sixth inning before yielding runs in the seventh and eighth. Angel Villalona started the seventh inning with a solo home run, his second home run of the series, to give San Jose (45-48) a 2-1 lead. They added an insurance run in the eighth on a Jeff Kobernus double to make it 3-1.

Lancaster (49-44) threatened in the ninth but came up short. Fisher started the inning with an infield single and moved to second on fielder's indifference before scoring on a two-out Jacob Nottingham single. Jamie Ritchie followed with a groundout to end the game against Dan Slania who earned his 14th save.

Fisher's home run, his 10th of the season, was the only run allowed by San Jose starter Chase Johnson (6-3). The right-hander allowed four hits and fanned eight batters over seven innings.

Ronnie Mitchell managed a single against Johnson in the fourth inning, extending his hitting streak to 13 games.

The JetHawks send Daniel Mengden (2-1) to the mound for game three of the four-game series on Monday night against right-hander Jose Reyes (1-4). First pitch is 7 p.m.
