Senators rally to trump Erie

Harrisburg, PA - The Harrisburg Senators roared back with a six-run bottom of the 8th to beat the Erie SeaWolves, 9-6, Friday at Commerce Bank Park. Seth Bynum hit a double and a pair of home runs, the last of which vaulted the Senators into the lead.

RHP Adrian Alaniz turned in another solid outing for Harrisburg, going six innings and allowing two runs on four hits, two walks and four strikeouts. He took a no-decision. Both runs scored on solo home runs in the top of the 2nd to put the SeaWolves up 2-0.

The Senators tied the game in the bottom of the 3rd. Bynum blasted a solo homer to left and Garrett Guzman's two-out RBI single tied it at 2-2.

The SeaWolves took the lead back with four runs against RHP Beltran Perez in the top of the 7th. A three-run homer by Danny Worth was the big blow in the inning to make it 6-2.

Harrisburg started their comeback in the 7th. Marco Yepez hit an RBI groundout to cut it to 6-3.

Six runs in the bottom of the 8th. With the bases loaded and nobody out, Andrew LeFave hit an RBI sacrifice fly to deep left-center to cut it to 6-4. William Bergolla followed by lining a ball to first which was misplayed and a run scored to make it a 6-5 game. Bynum was the next batter and nailed a three-run liner over the left-field fence to give the Senators an 8-6 lead. The inning continued and with a runner at second, Guzman singled off the first baseman to plate Yepez and make it 9-6.

RHP Adam Carr came out of the bullpen firing bullets. He struck out a pair as he retired the side in order in the 9th to pick up his first save of the year with Harrisburg.

Beltran Perez (3-2) picked up the win for the Senators. RHP Marcelo Perez (1-1) took the loss for Erie.

The Senators improved to 40-31. Erie dipped to 31-42.

The series continues Saturday night at Commerce Bank Park. Harrisburg LHP Mike Hinckley (2-2, 5.11 ERA) locks horns with Erie LHP Danny Christensen (4-4, 3.60 ERA).
