Senators Hit Three Home Runs in 10-3 Thumping of Reading

Reading, PA - On Saturday night in Reading the Senators fell behind 2-0 but rallied to win going away 10-3. The team hit a season-high three home runs, including the second in as many days off the bat of Cutter Dykstra. Neil Holland pitched a scoreless two and third innings for his first win of the season.

A.J. Cole started for the Senators and gave up two runs in the first inning. He limited to Reading to just the two runs in three and two thirds innings of work. Holland came on and earned the win. Richie Mirowski, Matt Grace and Tyler Herron all pitched in the game.

Dykstra homered off Reading starter Severino Gonzalez to tie the game in the third. Jason Martinson gave the Senators the lead with an RBI single in the 6th. Dykstra followed up his home run with a two-run single in the seventh before the Sens broke the game open in the ninth.

Leading 5-3 into the ninth, Michael Taylor hit a three-run home run and Destin Hood hit a two-run home run to put the Senators on top 10-3. Dykstra had three hits in the game and four RBIs, while Hood and Mitch Canham chipped in with two hits each.

After an off-day on Sunday for Easter, the Senators are back in action on Monday night in Altoona to start a four-game series with the Altoona Curve. The game can be heard on 1460am The Ticket and on iHeart Radio beginning with the pregame show at 6:15.
