Senators Fall in 11

Harrisburg Senators News Release


For the first time this season, the Senators went to extra innings in their 5-4 loss to the Altoona Curve. Neither team scored in the 10th inning and Altoona broke through for 2 in the 11th and hung on as the Sens scored only the free runner in the 11th. KJ Harrison provided the Sens offense with a 3-run home run in the seventh inning.

ON CAPITAL HILL

Carson Teel went the first five innings allowing five hits and two earned runs. He struck out five and didn't walk a batter.

Ryan Tapani tossed two scoreless frames lowering his ERA to 0.96.

Jhonatan German pitched the eighth inning and worked around a leadoff single.

Gabe Klobosits was outstanding, striking out six in working a scoreless ninth and tenth innings.

Pearson McMahan took the loss pitching the eleventh inning and allowing a pair of two out hits plating two runs for the Curve.

WITH THE GAVEL

KJ Harrison hit the game tying three run home run in the seventh inning. It was his second home run this season.

Jakson Reetz had two hits for the Senators, including their first hit leading off the seventh inning.

FILIBURSTERS

Harrisburg finished the 12-game homestand 5-7 and fell to 6-12 overall. The Senators pitching staff struck out a season high 14 batters. Even though the game went 11 innings, the game time was just 2:55.

ON DECK

After an off-day Monday, the Senators open a six-game series at Bowie Tuesday night. Game time Tuesday is 6:35 p.m. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Harrisburg 96.5FM 95.3FM and 1400AM beginning at 6:15 p.m.
