Second Win on the Weekend for Rangers

The Kitchener Rangers Hockey Club honoured Hockey Hall of Famer and Rangers Alumnus Al MacInnis prior to the game against the Kingston Frontenacs this afternoon. MacInnis' banner now joins fellow Rangers alumni Scott Stevens Paul Coffey, Larry Robinson and Bill Barber on display permanently above the ice.

Kitchener continued their winning ways over Kingston with score of 3-2 before 6,161 fans at The Aud.

Scott Timmins opened up scoring with his third goal in two days at the 3:56 mark of the first period. Micky Sartoretto netted an Alex Aleardi pass at the 12:11 mark to put the Rangers up 2-0.

Frontenacs Josh Britain scored the lone goal of the second period on the Kingston Power Play. Brittain tied it up 2-2 after scoring his second goal of the game at the 1:09 mark.

Timmins scored the game winning goal and his second of the afternoon at the 17:12 mark in the third period.

The Kitchener Rangers travel North for a weekend stint in Sudbury on Friday, November 28th at 7:30pm and Sault Ste. Marie on Saturday, November 29th at 7:30pm. The Rangers return home on Wednesday, December 3rd for the Rangers Annual Teddy Bear Night when the Erie Otters return to the Aud. Game time is 7:30pm.
