Sebastián Driussi Voted Major League Soccer Player of the Month

Austin, TEXAS - Major League Soccer (MLS) announced today that Austin FC midfielder Sebastián Driussi was voted the league's Player of the Month for April. The Argentine Desginated Player registered four (4) goals and one (1) assist in five (5) matches, leading the Verde & Black to a Club-record four-match winning streak.

Driussi currently leads MLS in goal contributions with 10 (seven goals, three assists) in 2022. He has scored in each of ATXFC's last three (3) MLS away matches, netting a penalty kick against the San Jose Earthquakes on April 2, an 85th-minute equalizer against D.C. United on April 16, and a 66th-minute match-winner against Houston Dynamo FC on April 30.

He also recorded a goal and an assist in the Club's 3-0 home win over Vancouver Whitecaps FC on April 23. Driussi leads all Austin FC players this season in both shots on target (12) and successful dribbles (12), ranks second on the team in tackles won (6), and third on the team in key passes (11).

The Verde & Black are unbeaten (seven wins, one draw, no losses) in the last eight (8) matches in which Driussi has scored, and the team's goals-per-game average has more than doubled since he made his debut for the Club last August, rising from 0.81 to 1.63.
