Seattle Downs Dallas 84-79 for Third Consecutive Win

ARLINGTON, Texas - Breanna Stewart and Jewell Loyd combined for 45 points as the Seattle Storm beat the Dallas Wings 84-79 on Sunday afternoon at College Park Arena.
Stewart led all scorers with 25 points, also adding eight rebounds. Loyd scored 22, and Ezi Magbegor recorded five blocks to go along with 13 points, including three in quick succession in the first quarter.
Like in their previous meeting on Friday, the Storm (8-5) and the Wings (6-7) played a close back-and-forth game. At the end of the first quarter, Dallas was up by one. At the end of the first half, the Storm led by one. But Seattle appeared to take control in the third quarter, building a 10-point lead and still leading by eight with just over five minutes to go in the fourth.
However, Dallas rattled off seven-straight points, closing to one on a three-pointer by Allisha Gray with 2:15 to play. But that proved to be the final points for the Wings as Stewart came up with a clutch putback with 1:14 left and-after a pair of defensive stops by the Storm-Sue Bird sealed the victory with a pair of free throws with 11.2 seconds left.
Turnovers were once again huge, but this time it was Dallas' turnovers that helped the Storm come out on top as the Wings turned over the ball 19 times, leading to 29 Seattle points.
The Storm's road trip continues in Minnesota on Tuesday as they take on the Lynx in a Commissioner's Cup matchup at 6:00 p.m. PT (8:00 p.m. CT) on ESPN2.
