SEASON TICKET SALES UPDATE

Brandon, Manitoba - With the club's 2010 Training Camp less than two weeks away, the Western Hockey League's Brandon Wheat Kings have announced that less than 2,200 Season Tickets have been sold for the upcoming campaign.

As of Thursday afternoon, the WHL club had sold 2,154 Season Tickets, well short of last year's franchise record of over 3,600. At this point a year ago, the Wheat Kings had eclipsed the 3,000 mark in season tickets as they were preparing to host the 2010 MasterCard Memorial Cup.

"With training camp around the corner and the Home Opener just five weeks away, we need to have a real push with our season ticket numbers to reach the levels we expect," Brandon coach and general manager Kelly McCrimmon said Thursday. "While we were on pace at our June renewal deadline, we have been slow since that."

To order 2010-11 Season Tickets, which remain the lowest in the WHL at $325 for adults ($9 per game) and $175 for youth (18 and under), fans are encouraged to visit the Wheat Kings' office or call 726-3535.

In addition to Season Tickets, the hockey club is again offering a 36-game Exchange Coupon package (Flex Pack) for $399.

In other news, the hockey team has announced that 2010-11 Season Ticket holders will have the opportunity to pick up their ticket packages beginning Thursday, September 9th at 10 a.m. in the Keystone Centre's Southside Parking Lot.

For more information on seat availability inside Westman Place, be sure to visit the Wheat Kings' official website at www.wheatkings.com

Meanwhile the hockey club has announced that tickets to Brandon's two pre-season games will go on sale September 1st at the Keystone Centre box office. Tickets to the 2010 Home Opener against the visiting Regina Pats, scheduled for Friday, September 24th, will go on sale Monday, September 13th at 9 a.m.
