Corpus Christi IceRays News Release
Corpus Christi, Texas - Your Corpus Christi Rayz are thrilled to present "Share Your Christmas" this Friday Night at the American Bank Center. Any fan who brings canned food for donation to the arena will receive a specially discounted ticket for Friday night's 7:00pm game between the first-place Rayz and the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees.
Throughout the entire month of December, the Rayz will be in the holiday spirit, spearheading donations for the Corpus Christi community. The efforts begin with Friday night's 7:00pm game at the American Bank Center. Any fan who brings canned food for donation will receive a $2 discount on tickets to the game, making them as low as just $8.
During the game, fans can see various Christmas Trees specially decorated by Rayz players. These trees are being decorated at noon on Thursday after the Rayz practice at the American Bank Center. All media is encouraged to attend the decorating ceremony. The trees will then be showcased at Friday's game, as well as at the Harbor Lights Gingerbread Village from 2:00-9:00pm on Saturday. A silent auction for the trees will carry through the weekend with the winners being announced at Sunday Night's game. All proceeds from the auction will go to benefit the Wishes and Dreams Toy Drive and Harbor Lights Restore the Tree Campaign.
On Sunday, the Rayz are hosting the Austin Ice Bats at 5:00pm for another installment of Whataburger Family Day. Fans will have another opportunity to donate to the Corpus Christi community as the Rayz will host the Wishes and Dreams Toy Drive. Any fan who brings an unwrapped toy to the game on Sunday will receive a coupon for complimentary donuts courtesy of Krispy Kreme. There will also be additional prizes handed out during a raffle for all those who donated.
The Rayz will continue their charity efforts later in the month when they host back to back Toys for Tots Toy Drives on December 17th and 18th. On Friday, December 17th as the Rayz host the Oklahoma City Blazers for the first time ever, the Rayz will be collecting unwrapped toys for the Toys for Tots foundation. All fans who donate gifts will be eligible for a drawing for a Free paint job, courtesy of Rodriguez Auto Service. On the following night, Saturday December 18th, the Rayz will continue their donation for Toys for Tots with GM. Any fans who visit a GM location in Corpus Christi and donate an unwrapped toy will receive a free ticket to Saturday night's game versus the Laredo Bucks. The game has a special start time of 8:00pm.
Come share in the holiday spirit this month with your Corpus Christi Rayz with several chances to give back to the community. Join the Rayz all month long as they give back to South Texas.
