LAREDO, Texas – The Laredo Bucks split a pair of games over this past weekend. Friday night Laredo defeated the Corpus Christi Rayz 5-3 at the LEC. On Saturday the Rayz beat the Bucks 3-2 in the second of back-to-back games at the LEC. The Bucks are on the road this weekend traveling to Lubbock on Thursday, San Angelo on Friday and Odessa on Saturday. Laredo returns home on Friday, December 10th, against the San Angelo Saints. 2005 CHL ALL-STAR GAME IN LAREDO

· The Laredo Bucks will host the 2005 CHL All-Star Game at the LEC. The All-Star Game banquet will take place on Monday, January 10th and will be held at the LEC. The CHL skills competition will take place separate from the game and will be held on Tuesday, January 11th. The 2005 CHL All-Star Game will take place on Wednesday, January 12th.

LUBBOCK COTTON KINGS · This is the first of three meetings this year between the teams.

2003-04: The Bucks were 4-0-0 against the Cotton Kings last year, including 3-0-0 at home. All-time Laredo is 10-0-1 against the Cotton Kings, outscoring Lubbock 45-19. The Bucks are 3-0-1 all time in Lubbock. The Bucks first win in franchise history came in the Hub City on 10/26/02 by the score of 4-2. Lance Leslie stopped 48 of 50 shots in net for Laredo for that win.

SAN ANGELO SAINTS · This is the third of four meetings this year between the teams. The Saints beat the Bucks 4-1 in San Angelo on 10/22 as goalie Scott Reid stopped 27 of 28 shots. On 10/30 the Saints beat the Bucks 1-0 at the LEC as Reid stopped all 39 shots. It was the first time the Bucks had ever been shutout at home.

2003-04: The Bucks were 5-0-1 last year against the Saints outscoring them 27-16 overall. Laredo was 2-0-1 in San Angelo. The Bucks are 9-4-3 all time against the Saints and 4-3-2 in San Angelo.

ODESSA JACKALOPES · This is the first of four meetings this year between the teams.

2003-04: The Bucks were 4-0-1 against the Jackalopes last year, including 1-0-1 in Odessa. All-time Laredo is 7-1-1 against the Jackalopes, outscoring Odessa 37-18. The Bucks are 3-1-1 in Odessa all-time. The teams met in the first round of the 2002-03 CHL playoffs with the Bucks winning the best of five series in five games.

GIVE BLOOD PLAY HOCKEY A SUCCESS

· The First Annual Give Blood Play Hockey Blood Drive over Thanksgiving weekend was a big success. More than 100 pints of blood were collected, which translates to more than 300 lives saved.

DON'T I KNOW YOU?

· Former Bucks goalie Lance Leslie is having a terrific season so far with the Lubbock Cotton Kings. In the 2002-03 season with Laredo, Leslie went 28-13-3 with a 2.81 GAA and a save percentage of.908. Leslie recorded the first win in Bucks franchise history with a 4-2 victory in Lubbock on 10/26/02.

OFFENSE IS HEATING UP

· After struggling to score in the first nine games of the season, the Bucks have scored 22 goals in the last six games, an average of 3.67 goals per game. Overall the Bucks are averaging 3.00 goals per game.

ON THE ROAD

· The Bucks play three straight games on the road this weekend. It is the most consecutive games played on the road so far in the 2004-05 season for Laredo. After this road trip the Bucks return home and play four straight games at the LEC, which ties the most they will play consecutively at home all year.

WHERE IS THE POWER

· Laredo is 1 for their last 32 power play chances, and the Bucks are 17th in the CHL at 8.8% on the man advantage, having scored just five power play goals in 57 chances.

QUE PASA?

· The Bucks have had 15 power play chances in the past seven games, while the opposition has had 35 man advantage opportunities. The Bucks matched a season low with just one power play chance on Friday night against Corpus Christi.

· Laredo is 6-1-0 when they score four goals or more.

BUCKS PENALTY KILL ‘EN FUEGO'

· Over the last eight games Laredo has stopped 43 of the last 47 (91.5 %) opposition power play chances.

· 11/27/04 – SATURDAY – The defending CHL Champion Laredo Bucks were beaten 3-2 by the visiting Corpus Christi Rayz in front of 6,117 fans at the Laredo Entertainment Center on Saturday night. It was the first ever win for the Rayz in Laredo, Corpus Christi had dropped the first 15 games at the LEC over two plus years. The Bucks are 6-8-1 with 13 points, in 3rd in the SE Division. Brent Zelenewich was spectacular stopping 43 of 45 shots to win his fourth straight game and improve to 5-3-2. Jeremy Symington allowed three goals on 18 shots and dropped to 2-3-0.

· 11/26/04 – FRIDAY – The defending CHL Champion Laredo Bucks beat the Corpus Christi Rayz 5-3 in front of 5,945 fans at the Laredo Entertainment Center on Friday night. Bucks forwards Jeff Bes and Brent Cullaton each scored a pair of goals as the Bucks ended the Rayz five-game win streak. The Bucks are 6-7-1 with 11 points and are in a tie for second in the SE Division. Bucks goalie David Guerrera stopped 27 of 30 shots and improved to 4-5-1. Josh Blackburn allowed five goals on 37 shots and fell to 4-2-0.
