SOUTHAVEN---The Memphis RiverKings of the Central Hockey League have placed forward Brad Mueller on the season-ending injured reserve list. They also signed forward Aaron Lewis to a Standard- Players-Contract. Lewis was recalled earlier this week from Huntsville of the Southern Professional Hockey League.

The 28 year-old Mueller is in his fifth professional season and his fifth with the RiverKings. All but eight of his 254 career games have been spent in Memphis. Injuries limited him to 39 games last season and 32 so far in this year's campaign. He had just come off the 14 day-I.R. on Friday, January 21 and had battled two different ankle injuries and a sternum injury this season. Mueller's 2004-2005 season will end with five goals and seven assists. In his RiverKings career, he has 75 goals and 97 assists.

Lewis, also 28, played six seasons of professional hockey in Europe, but is in his first in North America. Before being called up by Memphis, the five-eleven, 200 pound native of Sharbot Lake, Ontario played in 34 games at Huntsville scoring 11 goals and tacking on six assists.

Lewis will be in uniform and on the ice as the RiverKings host the Oklahoma City Blazers tomorrow night at 7:05. The first 1,500 fans that night will receive a DeSoto Athletic Club water bottle. That game will be followed by the defending President's Cup Champion Laredo Bucks coming to town for a 7:05 game on Saturday. It will be Miller Lite Nascar Night with an appearance by Rusty Wallace's Show Car.

A RiverKings game can be even more fun when you take it in with your group or organization. Get your group together and have a great time at the DeSoto Civic Center. For more information or to purchase season tickets, group tickets, mini-plans, or 9 game vouchers call the RiverKings at 662-342-1755 and ask for the sales department or stop by the DCC during business hours.
