Mr. Whiting is one of a few Westerners to write a regular column in the Japanese press. He was also a reporter/commentator for News Station, the #1 rated news program in Japan. He has appeared in numerous documentaries about Japan and on such shows as CNN's Larry King Live, the PBS MacNeil-Lehrer News Hour, Nightline and ESPN's Sports Central. These days, however, it's the American major league teams that are scouring the Japanese leagues in search of top-level ballplayers." Mr. Whiting will share his thoughts on how our national pastime has been influenced and changed forever.
