Portland Sea Dogs News Release

Portland, Maine-The Portland Sea Dogs, Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, have announced a partnership with FairPoint Communications to provide the FairPoint "Community First" Table at Hadlock Field for the 2010 season. The table will allow local non-profit organizations a space to promote their cause at Sea Dogs' home games throughout the 2010 season.

The FairPoint "Community First" Table will allow a different non-profit organization to promote themselves at each one of the Sea Dogs 71 home games in 2010. Non-profits interested in displaying information at the table and having access to the Sea Dogs fan base are asked to send the Sea Dogs a copy of their 501(c)(3) certificate and submit a "Community First" Table Request form. All forms can be found on the Sea Dogs website ( www.seadogs.com). All requests for the table will be filled though the Sea Dogs on a first come, first serve basis.

"The economic recession has hit non-profits and local charities especially hard," said Pam Joy, Vice President of Community Affairs for FairPoint. "We recognize the vital role non-profit organizations and local charities play in Maine and we are pleased to sponsor the FairPoint "Community First" Table that will allow up to 71 Maine charities an opportunity to promote their message to Sea Dog fans throughout the 2010 season."

The Sea Dogs' season runs from April 8th through September 6th and consists of 71 regular season home games at Hadlock Field. The Sea Dogs are annually one the most attended minor league franchises in the country and are the sixth most attended sports franchise in New England. Last season the Sea Dogs attracted 404,709 fans, an average of 6,132 per game.

The Portland Sea Dogs open the 2010 season on April 8th in Reading, Pennsylvania. The home opener is set for Thursday, April 15th at 6:00 PM against the Trenton Thunder (Yankees) at Hadlock Field. The 2010 season is the Sea Dogs' 17th season in Portland and eighth as an affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.
