Sea Dogs Offer Baseball Camp

Portland, Maine-The Portland Sea Dogs, Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, will hold a Baseball Camp from Tuesday, July 6th through Saturday, July 10th. The Sea Dogs are now accepting registrations for the week long camp.

The fourth annual Portland Sea Dogs Baseball Camp will allow kids 8-12 years old the opportunity to learn baseball skills from Sea Dogs' players and coaches. The camp will consist of morning instruction sessions with the Sea Dogs and games in the afternoon, all at Douglass Field in Portland. In addition, campers will receive a voucher for two tickets to attend a Sea Dogs game during the camp week. Campers will also have a morning instruction session at Hadlock Field on the final day of camp.

Each camper will receive quality instruction from potential future Major League players and coaches, a Sea Dogs t-shirt and hat, a pair of tickets to a Sea Dogs game during camp week, a daily lunch and snack, and much more. The camp will take place at Douglass Field in Portland from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM July 6th through July 9th. The final day of camp on Saturday, July 10th will take place at Hadlock Field from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.

Registration forms are available online at www.seadogs.com and at Hadlock Field. The deadline for registration is June 5th or until the camp has been filled. The camp is limited to 120 campers to ensure a quality experience. Registration cost is $275.00 per camper.

The Portland Sea Dogs open the 2010 season on April 8th in Reading, Pennsylvania. The home opener is set for Thursday, April 15th at 6:00 PM against the Trenton Thunder (Yankees) at Hadlock Field. The 2010 season is the Sea Dogs' 17th season in Portland and eighth as an affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.
