ON THE ROAD FOR THE WEEKEND: The Portland Sea Dogs open up a four-game series against the Trenton Thunder (Yankees affiliate) on Thursday night at Arm & Hammer Park...Portland finished 4-2 on their recent homestand, and is having their best month at 12-10...Trenton began their seven-game homestand by taking two of three from Hartford...This series marks the final meeting between the two teams in New Jersey.
LATE RALLY FOR HARRISBURG: Portland was one out away from a 4-1 win but the Harrisburg Senators scored three runs in the ninth inning, and won in 10 innings, 8-7 on Wednesday afternoon at Hadlock Field...The Senators scored five runs off Jordan Weems (L, 2-3), taking an 8-4 in the 10th...Portland responded with back-to-back homers from Luke Tendler and Jordan Betts...Teddy Stankiewicz worked seven innings allowing one unearned run on five hits and four strikeouts.
