NEWS AND NOTES
THE 'DOGS ARE HOT: The Portland Sea Dogs have won four of their last five games, and continue their four-game series with the Hartford Yard Goats (Rockies affiliate) on Saturday night at Hadlock Field...Portland is seeking their first three-game winning streak at home this season and their fourth, 4-game win streak...Lefty Kyle Hart (6-6, 4.37) makes his 17th start of the season and his fourth against Hartford (2-0, 1.89)...The two teams meet for the final time on Sunday afternoon.
TWO IN A ROW: For the second straight night, the Sea Dogs shutout Hartford, winning 6-0 on Friday...Lefty Matt Kent tied a career-high with eight innings, scattering five hits, one walk and five strikeouts...Josh Ockimey knocked in four runs, clearing the bases with a three-run double in the third...Ockimey added a run-scoring single in the fifth...Jhon Nunez clubbed his second homer of the year, a two-run shot in the fourth.
