HOPING TO GET EVEN (TRENTON LEADS 2-0):Portland has dropped the first 2 games of the series, and battles the Trenton Thunder (Yankees affiliate) on Saturday night at Arm & Hammer Park...The Sea Dogs won their final 2 road series of 2014 - their last road-series loss occurred on August 8-10, 2014 at Richmond...Last night was the second time the 'Dogs have been shutout in eight games to start the season.
WAS CLOSE UNTIL THE END: Trenton scored six runs on eight hits in the final two innings, shutting out the Sea Dogs 7-0 on Saturday night...Dante Bichette Jr. finished 3-for-4, 3 RBI, putting the game away with a two-run single in the eighth...Eric Jagielo went 2-for-3, 2 RBI, 2 doubles and 3 runs scored...Taylor Garrison (1-0) scattered six hits over 5 IP on one walk and 2 strikeouts toe earn the win...Mike Augliera (0-2) notched the team's first quality start of the season, but suffered the loss for Portland...Jantzen Witte had his best game in Double-A, going 3-for-4...Luis Martinez added two hits, including a double.
