Sea Dogs Announce Roster Moves

SAINT JOHN, NB --- Saint John Sea Dogs Director of Hockey Operations Mike Kelly announced today that the team has made several minor roster moves.

The Sea Dogs have recalled rookie forward and local minor hockey product Aidan Kelly, 16, from the Saint John Vito's (NBPEIMMHL) while winger Will Johnston, 19, has been designated for assignment with the Summerside Western Capitals (MJAHL). Johnston remains an affiliate player for Saint John.

Several players have also been added to the Sea Dogs' extended fifty-man roster. Forwards Chuckie Shembri (Dieppe Commandos, MJAHL) and Jason Gallant (Summerside Western Capitals, MJAHL) are now affiliates of the Port City's major junior squad, as are defensemen Martin Joyal (Coll=E8ge Antoine-Girouard Gaulois, QCMAAA) and Jordan Thomas (Halifax Lions, MJAHL).

Meanwhile, defensemen Vincent Fournier, 18, and Robert McEwan, 18 have both been granted their unconditional release.

Currently leading the QMJHL with a record of 36-7-1-0, Saint John's next game is scheduled to take place on Saturday, January 16, at 7pm versus Acadie-Bathurst at Harbour Station.
