Galiev Ranked 23rd Amongst North American Skaters By NHL Scouts

SAINT JOHN, NB --- The National Hockey League's Central Scouting Bureau unveiled its mid-season rankings of players eligible for the 2010 NHL Entry Draft on Monday, with Sea Dogs import winger Stanislav Galiev coming at #23 amongst North American skaters.

Galiev, 17, currently leads all QMJHL freshmen in assists (31) and plus/minus (+33). The Russian-born playmaker is second overall in rookie scoring with 10G-31A-41P, one point behind Rimouski's Petr Straka. Saint John selected Galiev with the #1 overall pick at the 2009 CHL Import Draft.

MacAulay, 17, has registered 85GP-7G-16A-23P-36PIM with the Sea Dogs since being chosen in the third round (52nd overall) of the 2008 QMJHL Entry Draft. Saint John acquired Gauthier, 18, in a trade with the Shawinigan Cataractes last season; the Repentigny, QC native has tallied 43GP-10G-7A-17P thus far on the 09-10 campaign.
