Sea Dawgs Claim Division Champion Title

March 9, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Wilmington Sea Dawgs News Release

Wilmington, NC - The Wilmington Sea Dawgs are pleased to announce that they have captured the title of Division Champions for the 2006-2007 American Basketball Association (ABA) Season.

Narrowly beating out the Strong Island Sound for the top spot in the Blue Conference (Central Division), the Sea Dawg's impressive 19-8 record currently shows the team with a top-ten "power ranking" in the ABA.

The Wilmington Sea Dawgs wrapped up its inaugural season this week with back-to-back wins over the Atlanta Vision.

"I couldn't be more proud of my guys," says Head Coach Kevin Whitted. "The players are ready to prove themselves in the playoffs".

The ABA is set to announce the playoff schedule within a few days. The Wilmington Sea Dawgs hope to host atleast one home playoff game next week. Details will be passed along as soon as possible.
