Micah Miniard was locked in from the start for Mahoning Valley. The big righty did not allow a base runner until the bottom of the third inning but would strand the runner on base. Overall, Miniard allowed just three hits while walking one and striking out four.

Ping-Hseuh Chen would take over for Miniard and would go three innings of scoreless relief. Chen allowed just two hits while striking out five. Devon Stewart would then follow with three scoreless innings as well. He scattered four hits and struck out three.

Ryan Perez (0-1) would take over in the bottom of the 13th inning. After allowing a leadoff single to Rodolfo Duran, he would retire the next two batters on a sacrifice bunt and a strike out.
