
Scrappers Bite Cutters Late

Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
The Williamsport bullpen surrendered a three-run lead with two outs in the bottom of the 9th inning, as the Scrappers walked off the Cutters 6-5.
Jesse Wilkening finished the night 3-3 with a double and a RBI, his first three-hit night of the season for Williamsport. Ben Pelletier finished 2 for 5 with a pair of singles and two runs scored. Combined they recorded five of the Cutters seven hits.
Manuel Silva allowed two runs on six hits and four walks while striking out four in five innings. Randy Alcantara gave Williamsport three shutout innings of relief, allowing one base hit and striking out a season- high four.
Tyler Carr suffered his first loss of the season, allowing four runs, all unearned, with two outs in the bottom of the 9th inning. Abdallah Aris allowed the game-winning base hit to the only batter that he faced.
Williamsport has now lost five games this season in walk-off fashion.
