
Schueller Called up to Manchester

ROANOKE, VA â Roanoke Express defenseman Doug Schueller was called-up by the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League today, it was announced by Express Head Coach Tony MacAulay. Schueller becomes the fifth Roanoke player to receive a call-up to the AHL since February 15.
Originally drafted by the Florida Panthers in 1997, Schueller has played in 54 games with the Express and has tallied two goals and eight assists. The 25-year-old Minnesota native is in his third professional season, after spending four years with Bowling Green State University. In 136 career professional games, Schueller has earned 30 points (6 goals, 24 assists).
Schueller joins Tim O'Connell (Rochester Americans) and Dylan Gyori (Utah Grizzlies) as current Express players on call-up. In addition, Sebastien Laplante and Scott Balan have recently returned to the Express after spending time in the AHL.
