Connor Schmidt and Canada Red scored a big win to end the round robin at the 2023 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.
Canada Red topped the United States 4-3 in overtime on Tuesday in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
Schmidt picked up his first point of the tournament, assisting on Ryan Roobroeck's go-ahead goal early in the third period.
Medicine Hat Tigers forward Gavin McKenna scored the overtime winner for Canada Red.
Schmidt and Canada Red finish the round robin with a 3-2 record and in third place with seven points.
The quarterfinals go on Thursday.
