Back to B.C.
The gauntlet is done - the Hawks played six games in nine nights to get through all the Central Division clubs, going 2-3-0-1 in that span. But now the roadie rolls on, with two more stops in British Columbia before the team returns to the Rose City.
Tonight's contest sees Portland battle Kamloops for the second time this season. The Hawks took a 4-1 win in the VMC back on Oct. 13, but that was before the return of Kamloops captain Fraser Minten from the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Blazers sit in last in the WHL's Western Conference with a 4-10-2-1 record, but have won three of their last five outings and have points in four of those.
Dishin' It Up
There were plenty of contributions throughout the lineup as the Hawks returned to winning ways last week, but how about the incredible showings from Luca Cagnoni and Gabe Klassen? Both skaters notched six points in three games, including a league-leading six assists by a defenseman in that span for Cagnoni, who ranks second among all league blueliners in both assists (17) and points (19). Klassen grabbed a goal and five helpers, pushing his team-leading point total to 22 (8G, 14A) in 15 games.
