Sudbury Wolves News Release
Sudbury Wolves' forward MATT SCHMALZ received some great news this week when the Montreal Canadiens invited the hulking 6'6" right-winger to their annual Development camp at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard, Quebec. Schmalz, 18, will enjoy his first taste of a NHL camp when he takes part in the five-day event.
The Dunnville, Ontario native will depart for Montreal's development camp today and will hit the ice on Friday. Schmalz was selected in the first round of the 2012 OHL draft and was subsequently acquired by the Wolves in January of 2013. Schmalz has developed into a hard-hitting physical winger with offensive potential. The Burgess Family and the Sudbury Wolves would like to extend best wishes to Matt at his first pro camp.
