Florence Y'alls News Release

Florence, Ky. - The Schaumburg Boomers (35-31) scored in six consecutive innings and kept the Florence Y'alls (29-38) at bay en route to a 11-6 win at Thomas More Stadium on Wednesday.

Mike Hart hit a towering two-run home run in the top of the third inning to kickstart the Schaumburg offense. The Boomers hit three homers in the game. Hart, along with Blake Berry and Chase Dawson, combined for 10 hits and 5 RBI in the middle of Schaumburg's batting order.

After not recording a baserunner until the fifth inning, Florence's bats came to life. Brennan Price and Anthony Brocato hit back-to-back home runs in the sixth inning, accounting for three of six Y'alls runs in the game. With his 20th homer, Brocato becomes the fifth player in the Frontier League to reach that mark this season.

First baseman Bryant Flete came through with an RBI single in the fifth to score Brocato and put the Y'alls on the board. Flete, who had yesterday's game-winning hit, has driven in 17 runs in his last ten games.

The Boomers' lineup teed off against a Y'alls pitching staff that was off its game tonight. Bobby Brabrand allowed five runs in four innings, taking the loss. The night ended with Flete tossing a 1-2-3 9th inning, his second scoreless frame pitched of the season.

The Schaumburg victory ties the series and sets up a rubber match tomorrow night in Florence. Edgar Martinez is the projected starter for the Y'alls. First pitch is at 6:34 p.m.
