Edmonton Oil Kings News Release
Omaha, NE - Former Husker Defensive Back, Antonio Bell will be donning the orange and black again this season. The Omaha Beef Indoor Football team made it official today, adding Bell's name to an already impressive roster of veteran players and a talented group of "fresh meat."
The signing comes on the eve of the Beef's season opener on the road against long-time rival, the Sioux City Bandits. The season kicks off this Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Tyson Arena in Sioux City, Iowa. Bell, a D-Back with the Huskers from 2009-2012 joins a number of former Husker and collegiate standouts on the Beef roster and coaching staff. Beef Head Coach, Cory Ross expects Bell to be good fit for this season's revamped defense.
The Beef's home season opener will take place at 7:05 p.m. on Friday, March 10th at the Ralston Arena. They will face off against the Salina Liberty. Fans can save big by purchasing season tickets. There are still great seats available.
The Omaha Beef, a member of the CIF, is the longest running indoor football team in the country. This season marks its 18th year. Season tickets can be purchased through the Beef office. Call or email Shaun Fischer (shaun@beeffootball.com) at (402) 346-2333 for further information.
