BLOOD DRIVE: Saturday is Tips Family, Friends, VIP Donor Day at AOTW Arena

WHO: Everett Silvertips Family, Friends & VIP Fan Donor Day

WHAT: Donate blood for Bloodworks Northwest

WHEN: Saturday, May 16th 8:00am to 4:00pm

Please allot a minimum of 45 minutes for your appointment.

WHERE: Edward D. Hansen Conference Center at Angel Of The Winds Arena, 3rd Floor Grand Ballroom-2000 Hewitt Ave., Everett, WA 98201

HOW: Set an appointment via the link below.

ELIGIBLE: Anyone in good health, at least 18 years old, and weighs at least 110 pounds may donate whole blood every 56 days, 16 or 17-year-old who weighs at least 114 pounds may donate with a Bloodworks Northwest permission slip signed by a parent or guardian at a Bloodworks NW donor center.

PARKING: Complimentary parking will be available

PREP: Drink extra glasses of water and eat a healthy breakfast

PROCESS: Easy and safe

1. Show Photo ID to Register

2. Fill out questionnaire to confirm eligibility to donate

3. Short interview and health check with the technician

4. Recline on cot for blood donation

5. Refreshments

WHY: Due to coronavirus, the Pacific Northwest's blood supply is at risk of collapse. The accelerating number of blood drive cancellations due to the closure of schools, businesses, and events over coronavirus concerns has put nearly 60% of the community's blood supply in jeopardy. For the safety and care of current and future patients, Bloodworks is urging the community to step up to donate and spread word of the current need.

Individuals are not at risk of contracting coronavirus through the blood donation process.
