Birmingham Barons News Release
MOBILE, Ala. - The series opener between the Birmingham Barons (24-36) and Mobile BayBears (22-36) was postponed for a second consecutive day as Saturday night's doubleheader at Hank Aaron Stadium could not begin due to unsafe field conditions.
The two teams are slated to make up the pair of games with doubleheaders Sunday and Tuesday afternoon, respectively.
First pitch in Sunday's doubleheader is set for 2:05 p.m. CT as the Barons send right-hander Lincoln Henzman (0-0, 9.53) to the mound against BayBears right-hander Jeremy Beasley (2-3, 3.40). Birmingham will utilize a full bullpen day in the back half of the twin bill, while Mobile's Game 2 starter is to be announced.
Tuesday's doubleheader is expected to begin at 12:05 p.m.
Coverage of Sunday's games will kick off at 1:50 p.m. with the Coca-Cola Pregame Show on WJOX-AM 690.
