LAST GAME: Jackson, Tenn. - The Jackson Generals, the Double-A affiliate of Major League Baseball's Arizona Diamondbacks, suffered their third consecutive one-run loss on Friday, falling 7-6 to the Mississippi Braves (27-32). The defeat at The Ballpark at Jackson was the 11th loss for the Generals (34-27) in 18 one-run games this year, and their 15th loss at home. Jackson now trails Montgomery by 3.5 games in the First Half race with just 9 games remaining.

TODAY'S PITCHING MATCHUP: For the second Saturday in a row, Bo Takahashi will take the hill in at The Ballpark at Jackson and go for an important Generals win. Takahashi narrowly missed election to the SL All-Star Game despite an outstanding recent run. Since May 3, Takahashi has put up a 1.17 ERA in five starts, the second-lowest ERA of any SL pitcher with 5 starts in that time. (Teammate Riley Smith ranks first at 0.28). Opposing Takahashi is Mississippi left-hander Tucker Davidson, who earned an All-Star nod to the South Division roster with a 1.82 ERA over 59.1 IP. Davidson's most recent start against Biloxi featured five innings of work, though he tied a season-worst mark with 3 earned runs allowed in a loss.

ALL-STAR-GAME-BOUND: The Southern League's All-Star Game will happen in Biloxi on June 18, and the Generals are sending a handful of deserving players (stats listed through May 31). Alternates can still be added in the next week.
